TEMPERATURE MONITORING

Know the temperature inside every reefer box, live

A temperature probe in the box, a wire to the freezer unit and a GPS tracker in the cab. See every truck's box temperature on the map, get an SMS the moment it goes too warm or too cold, and hand your buyer a printed temperature log with each delivery.

WHY IT MATTERS

The cold chain usually breaks on the road

A reefer box that's left open at a stop, or a freezer switched off to save diesel, can spoil a whole load in an hour. Without a sensor, nobody knows until the buyer complains.

$2.4 billion

of fruit and vegetables lost after harvest in Bangladesh every year, by one estimate

20–44%

of fruit and vegetables wasted before they reach people

450+

cold storages in the country, mostly for potatoes, so the trucks have to keep things cold

Figures from the Cold Chain Investment Conference 2024, reported by The Business Standard.

A REAL READING CHECK

Same truck, three readings, the same answer

On a hot afternoon we checked one of our customers' reefer trucks, parked with the freezer off. The reefer's own display, a reference thermometer in the box and the Autonemo app all agreed.

REAL 24-HOUR GRAPH

See every hour of the trip, not just the reading now

A real temperature graph from a customer's truck in the Autonemo app. The box dropped to a few degrees from about 4 am while the freezer ran, then climbed back near 30°C after 10 am. With the freezer on/off wire you also see when the cooling was switched off. On the right: the reefer controller on the dashboard, the reading the driver sees.

ALERTS

An SMS before the load spoils, not after

Set a minimum and maximum for each vehicle, eggs, dairy, frozen food or medicine. When the box leaves that range, the people you choose get an SMS with the truck, the reading, the time and the place.

Example box temperature graph with a 2 to 8 degree safe range, a high alert at 9.6 degrees, and SMS alerts for high, low and offline

HIGH

Too warm

The box goes above its maximum, often a door left open or the freezer switched off.

LOW

Too cold

The box drops below its minimum, which freezes and spoils produce, eggs and medicine.

OFFLINE

Sensor silent

No reading for a set time, so a sensor that's unplugged or broken doesn't go unnoticed.

Three temperature reports, proof for buyers and audits

Daily log

One truck's temperature through the day, by time. Printable.

Send with the delivery as proof

Excursion report

Which truck went out of range, when, for how long and by how many degrees.

Management review

The live map shows target vs actual temperature next to each truck. Choose who gets HIGH and LOW alerts and who gets OFFLINE, and repeated SMS for the same problem are held back.

WHAT WE INSTALL

Three parts, fitted to the reefer you already have

We work with the reefer units already on your trucks, such as Thermal Master and Dongin. Nothing about how the driver runs the freezer changes.

1

Wired GPS tracker

A Teltonika FMB120 hidden in the cab sends location, speed and the sensor readings over the mobile network.

2

Temperature probe in the box

Placed inside the cargo box, away from the cold air outlet, so it reads what the goods feel.

3

Freezer on/off wire

Connected to the reefer unit, so the platform shows when the freezer is running and when it was switched off.

Price depends on the number of trucks and sensors.

WHO IT'S FOR

Anything that has to stay cold on the way

Cool, not frozen

Eggs and poultry

Egg delivery trucks and chilled chicken, where heat in the box means cracked shells and short shelf life.

Chilled or frozen

Dairy and ice cream

Milk, yoghurt and ice cream distribution to shops, where a warm box shows up as melted stock.

Frozen

Frozen food and fish

Frozen snacks, meat and fish, including export loads that need temperature records.

Often 2 to 8°C

Medicine and vaccines

Pharma distribution where a printed temperature log is part of the paperwork.

Cool

Fruit and vegetables

Produce moving from farms and cold stores to markets, where losses after harvest are highest.

Any range you set

Cold rooms and containers

Ask us about using the same sensor and alerts for a fixed cold room or a reefer container.

Temperature limits are set per vehicle, so one fleet can carry eggs, ice cream and medicine with the right range for each.

Questions

Temperature monitoring questions

Do I need a new reefer unit?

No. We fit the temperature probe, freezer wire and GPS tracker to the reefer you already have, such as Thermal Master or Dongin units.

Where is the temperature probe placed?

Inside the cargo box, away from the cold air outlet, so it reads the temperature the goods are actually at.

Who gets the SMS alerts?

You choose. For example, HIGH and LOW alerts can go to the transport manager and the quality team, and OFFLINE alerts to the person who looks after devices. The same problem is not sent again and again.

Can I set a different range for each truck?

Yes. Each vehicle has its own minimum and maximum, so an egg truck, an ice cream truck and a medicine van can each have the right range.

Can I give buyers proof of temperature?

Yes. The daily log is a printable record of the box temperature through the trip, which you can send with the delivery. The excursion report shows any time the range was broken.

Will I know if the driver switches the freezer off?

Yes. A wire from the reefer unit shows on the platform whether the freezer is on or off, next to the box temperature.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your number of trucks and sensors. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send a price, and a pilot plan if you want to try a few trucks first.
